Areas of Responsibility
The Office of Sports Facilities and Health Promotion is responsible for the general promotion of and advertising for sports, for planning, building, administering and maintaining the sports facilities owned by the City. In addition to this it watches over the health and quality of life of its citizens. This includes introducing proactive measures for keeping healthy, environment-related health protection and health-reporting.
The Office employs several sports advisers who provide pedagogical guidance and sports lessons to sports clubs and to the public and identify and promote particularly talented pupils at primary schools. It also grants awards for outstanding performances in sports and carries out measures and projects aimed at health and youth promotion.
