Naturalisation
You have been living in Germany as a foreigner for quite a while, you would also like to stay here and participate actively in public life. Here you can find further information before you make your way to the Border Agency (Einbürgerungsbehörde).

Once you have German nationality, you acquire civil rights such as the active and passive right to vote, the right to choose your occupation or protection against extradition and deportation.
