Respected around the world. Heidelberg Technology Park is one of the most important centers for biotechnology research in Germany, and a top location worldwide. It is home to over 90 companies and research bodies with a total of 2,800 staff. The Technology Park, which is part of Heidelberg University campus, also has a site in the city's new district Bahnstadt.

Organizations based at the Technology Park include companies and research institutions from the fields of biotechnology, medical engineering, information and communication technology, environmental economics and environmental engineering. The Technology Park has played an influential role in the world of science and business, ever since its foundation in 1984.
Strong partners. The Technology Park offers ideal conditions for knowledge transfer and sharing between researchers and practitioners in science and business. Several top international companies such as BASF, Merck and Roche Diagnostics conduct their research here. The Technology Park is the result of a joint venture between the City of Heidelberg and the Rhine-Neckar Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Heidelberg Technology Park works with numerous German and international research bodies including the European Molecular Biology Laboratory (EMBL), the German Cancer Research Centre (DKFZ) and the Zentrum für Molekulare Biologie (ZMBH). Other partners of the Technology Park that likewise contribute to Heidelberg's high standing throughout Germany include Heidelberg University Biochemistry Center (BZH) and the Max Planck Institute for Medical Research.
