Local drop-in sessions with Heidelberg’s Disabilities Officer
Since January 2016 the City of Heidelberg has had a Disabilities Officer – Christina Reiss. The Disabilities Officer is an ombudsman and hence a point of contact for anyone with questions about disabilities in the city. She is also responsible for promoting the UN Convention on the Rights of People with Disabilities at a municipal level.
To enable as many people as possible to reach her, she offers monthly drop-in sessions alternating between different districts of the city.
The drop-in sessions are open not only to those with disabilities or chronic medical conditions, and their relatives, but also to anyone else with suggestions about how to improve inclusiveness in Heidelberg. To avoid waiting to speak to the Disabilities Officer, it is also possible to book in advance by telephone: +49 (0) 6221 58-15590 or email: email@example.com
Dates of forthcoming drop-in sessions
Premises used for drop-in sessions are fully accessible for people with disabilities.
