Heidelberg App
Digital advice on all questions concerning Heidelberg
What time is my tram? Where is the nearest WiFi hotspot? On what day is refuse collected in our street? Answers to these and many other questions can be found on the Heidelberg App.
“Mein Heidelberg” [My Heidelberg], the city’s official app, has been a useful companion both for local people and for visitors to the city since 2012. Since then, the app has been expanded to include more and more new categories. From banks and local authorities to play areas, cultural institutions and parking lots for hikers, a wide range of information specific to the city is available to users on the interactive city map. Also available to view are all the projects that have requested a visit from the Lord Mayor as part of the #HoldenOberbürgermeister (#GetTheMayor) campaign.
The app also allows users to offer feedback. Anyone with ideas, suggestions, praise or criticism of particular locations can use the app as a direct line to the city administration. All they have to do is take a photo and send it along with a brief explanation to City Hall. The ideas and complaints management team at City Hall will deal with the matter as quickly as possible.
In addition to the smartphone app, an HTML version of the Heidelberg App has been available since 2015 for use with a home PC.
