Ideal conditions for an effective workout

Various gymnasiums, which are regularly used by schools and sports clubs, are situated in the districts of Heidelberg.

In the 2019/2020 double budget the city will spend a total of around 1.5 million euros on the expansion and modification of its own sport facilities – among other things, the expansion of the gymnastics centre with a total volume of presumably 3.8 million euros is planned from 2019 with the preparation of the execution plan. For the care, operation and maintenance of urban sports facilities –without school gymnasiums and swimming pools, but including the rent for the new large sports hall – around 8.5 million euros are estimated in the double budget.

In addition, the city provides 660,000 euros in the double budget for construction measures in Heidelberger sports clubs.
