Guided tours

By arrangement, we offer group tours for 10 to 25 people through the permanent multimedia exhibition “Join the Story” and through the historically interesting building.

Guided tours in English are also possible. A guided tour lasts approx. 60 minutes.

Appointments for fee-based guided tours are possible by arrangement:

Tuesday, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Wednesday, 2 to 5 p.m.
Thursday, 9 am to 6 pm
Friday, 2 to 5 p.m.

Interested in individual topics? We will be happy to tailor the tour to the wishes and needs of your group.

Fees: There is a fee of € 46.00 for a guided tour in German. An English-language tour costs €50.00.

Different fees apply for school classes. Offers for schools and individual school classes can be found here.

You will be invoiced for the tour fee after the tour. Please note that cash payment is not possible.

Current special exhibition

Public tours

Once a month, the Mark Twain Center offers a public tour of the current special exhibition United | Disunited, which runs until May 3, 2026.

Max Scheler was a keen observer of the social and political contradictions in the United States.
Dr. Uwe Wenzel will lead a tour of the photographer's work and the historical background of the time.

The next tour is on Sunday, Febuary 22, at 3:00 p.m.
